Rob R. for Model Number Kenmore model 66513043K dishwasher I am replacing diverter motor (valve) your part number AP5650272 (Whirlpool OEM number W10537869) on a Kenmore model 66513043K dishwasher. I plan to also replace the grommet at the same time -your part number AP6016787 (Whirlpool OEM number WPW10195677). I have seen some repair suggestions to use a sealer on the outside diameter of the seal and lubricating the diverter shaft and seal with a "water proof lubricant" such as Dow silicone grease. But on your website there was mention of not using any grease on the grommet. What is the best way to install this grommet and diverter motor - with or without sealer and with or without silicone grease on shaft? Thank you, Rob
Answer Hello Rob, The manufacturer does not recommend using anything on the diverter during installation. It is always recommended to use a dab of liquid soap on the diverter shaft to prevent damage to the seal during installation. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Thursday, July 28, 2016
