Musiccitymissy for Model Number Model #WDT720PADM2 Whirlpool Dishwasher My dishwasher hasn't cleaned well from day one but now it doesn't clean at all. It is just over 2 years old. I have checked everything. It fills with water. It drains. But it is not putting water through the spray arms. After running it, I got the spray arms to work once by accident when I opened the dishwasher to check it because I didn't hear much noise. When I closed it, they all of a sudden came back on. The spray arms are not clogged. We looked at the lines underneath and they do not appear to be clogged. We removed the spray arms and we could not hear or see evidence that it was putting water out. I did a reset by turning off the breaker. We suspect the diverter motor part #W10476222. Thoughts? Also, I am seeing a lot about the grommet - should we replace that and if so, are they still not selling the grommet individually. And finally, there is a substitute part #W10537869. What is the difference in the two parts (except cost)? Seeing so many problems with this part makes me wonder if it was a bad design and the substitute part is a redesign and better?
Answer MusicCityMissy, Based on the information this would be a faulty diverter motor that would be faulty. Unless the seal is leaking you would not need to replace the seal. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Saturday, September 22, 2018
