Rick for Model Number WDT780SAEM1 how do you know if the problem is a inlet valve or a diverter motor? My dishwasher doesnt sound like its getting any water. I start it and sometimes it sounds like its getting water and other times it isnt. I have heard that buzzing noise and grinding noise lately when i started having this problem.Where does a guy start? pump, diverter motor, inletvalve, control panel. When i started having this problem it stopped working on normal wash so i started using heavy wash cycle and it worked . now it doesnt work on any cycle. Any advice would be appreciated. It does drain so Im thinking its not the pump/drain motor. Bought this unit new 7 years ago
Answer Rick, You will want to check to see if there is water in the unit when the pump starts. If there is no water then test to see if there is 120 vac to the water valve when filling and if there is then the valve will be the issue. Read More...
