Jaime for Model Number Kssc36qms03 Kitchenaid kssc36qmz03 i am having trouble with the ice dispenser. The motor 2315546 will not turn. When the fridge is turned off for a couple of days, when i power back on, the motor spins fine. Come back next day and nothing. I have removed the motor and drive shaft, when it is totally removed from the fridge, i am not able to manually rotate the motor by rotating the shaft. I see some posts that talk about the harness being corroded and mine is too a bit. I am suspecting the motor is bad, but i do not want to order a new one only to find out the problem is elsewhere. Why would the motor spin when warm, but not cold?
Answer Jaime, In most cases there is moisture that has gotten into the motor which is causing the motor to freeze up. The moisture does not have enough time to go away in the short period that it is disconnected and therefor refreezes after being reconnected. You would want to replace the motor W10822635 for this issue. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Wednesday, February 26, 2014
