Brigitte Whirlpool clothing washer, 31 yrs old: M# SAWS800JQ1 two questions ... 1) the spin at high revolution seems to have more wobble than before. what should I look for as the issue?? 2) just noticed a few Tbsp of water that leaked from underneath during the drain, spin cycle. what should I look to replace for that concern? new machines are stupid expensive and are getting less than stellar reviews, so may be far smarter to fix this old reliable beast. your suggestions are welcome.
Answer Brigitte, check the drain pump to make sure there is not a leak around the shaft bearing, check the center post to see if the leak is coming from the gasket, You may be having a problem with the suspension pads that are worn out and causing a rough spin. Your washer is well made but is showing signs of wear, it will require a lot of work to get it back in shape. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Monday, July 23, 2018
