Steve for Model Number Whirlpool Thin Twin LTE5243DQ3 During the wash cycle, the washer agitates, drains, pauses (which I believe disengages the neutral drain function) then spins with intermittent spray; all normal. During the rinse cycle, the washer agitates, drains, never pauses, & never spins. It does perform the spray function & stops at the end of the cycle. Since spin works during one part of the cycle but not the other, I am led to believe that an internal cam switch in the timer that feeds the motor is not performing the pause that allows the spin function to begin. Do I have a bad timer or something else?
Answer Steve, You will want to check the motor winding for the high speed spin. This would be blue to white on the motor. Check the resistance. If the winding is bad then the motor will not spin in final rinse even though it spins during the wash cycle.
