Braden for Model Number Whirlpool LGR7620KQ1 Hello, I had this dryer to converted to propane a while back. I am now wanting to convert this dryer from propane back to natural gas. Do I just need to replace the orifice? Or is there anything else that needs to be replaced as well.
Answer Braden, There are several parts that will need to be changed to convert back to Nat gas: WP234826 orifice, WP694424 Limiter/cap, WP694423 regulator sleeve, and WP694422 spring. These parts are all associated with the brass cap fitting on the top of the gas valve and must be replaced in order to convert the valve back to Natural Gas and have the valve operate properly. Don't forget to check for possible gas leaks at the valve once the parts are installed and the gas supply is reestablished, you can use a solution of soapy water and a rag or old paint brush to swab the solution on the fittings.
