Larry for Model Number MDG6800AWW All the lint is bypassing the screen and plugs the vent leading to the outside. If I put a nylon on the exhaust vent the nylon fills up with lint. The dryer will work like this for a few days. The lint screen has no holes in it and everything seems to fit tight. What is the problem?
Answer Larry, The lint filter does not collect 100% of the lint from the clothes, they never have, there is always a minimal amount of lint expelled through the exhaust vent system and to the outside environment. Very new and very old natural fibers(cotton) seems to produce more lint than expected. Your exhaust vent system should be checked,cleaned and repaired once a year. Good Luck Read More...
