Dave for Model Number jgs8850ads The flame on the bake burner moves up and down. There is a smell of gas also. You can see the blue flame go up and down the burner tube. I have replaced the igniter and gas valve. Could this be the circut board which I already replaced 3 times or something else?
Answer Hello Dave, If the unit has been converted and is converted correctly, the air shutter needs to be closed off some to prevent the flame from lifting up off of the burner. Flame characteristics can be changed by adjusting the primary air intake at the air shutter. On burners that do not have adjustable shutters, kits are available to make adjustments possible. If the unit has not been converted the air shutter should still be addressed but if the unit has been converted the conversion should be looked at closely to ensure it has been converted correctly.
