Answer Hello Gordon, This sounds like you are not set up for the gas you have connected to the unit. There is natural gas and LP gas. Each one use their own set of orifices and set up procedures to ensure the complete consumption of the gas. Without proper setup, poisonous gasses are produced, so the unit has to be set up properly to provide normal operation.
