Kevin for Model Number 34GA-4T KXW Oven temp was off by apprx 100 deg. I purchased a new sensor from you AP4009456. Installed it and the temp. still reads apprx. 100 deg. higher than actual oven temp. I had to splice the wire from the front access . Is it possible to have a polarity problem , if so would it cause false readings? Or a defective new sensor? Do not want to buy a new clock control board, this oven is 20 years old. Thanks for any help
Answer Hi Kevin. Sounds like you are on the correct path with the control board. That part is # 7601P155-60. The polarity does not matter. The control board starts the temperature reading at 100° until the relays / sensor tells the oven it is at 350° and stable. Ohm out the bake ignitor for 75-800 ohms cold. Part # 12400035. Use a amp probe to clamp on 1-wire from the ignitor to the safety valve. Is it using 3.2-3.6 amps and not lighting? Then you will need the safety valve part # 7501P095-60. Look there to see if the oven gas is igniting properly in 30-45 seconds. Thank You. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Saturday, November 5, 2011
