Glenn for Model Number MGR5765QDQ When I turn the oven on it goes to 100 degrees, then takes a long time to start heating to the set tempture. Once temperature is at the set temperture it will stay there. PG&E suggested that the Hot Surface Ignitor was bad. I do not see this part on the list. Thanks, Glenn.
Answer Hi Glen. You will need to ohm the bake ignitor to see if it is between 75-800 ohms cold. It may be opening under power not allowing the safety valve to open/close allowing gas flow. Bake ignitor is part # 74007498. The oven sensor ohms 1080- 1100 ohms. If is is open or shorted then the temperature is affected as well. Part # 12001655.This part failure will show F-3 as you did not mention but you still need to use a ohm meter. Thank You. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Saturday, November 5, 2011
