Bob D. for Model Number Magic chef wall Oven , Model 9495 XRB The temperature reading is incorrect. It is off by 100 degrees F (below).I already changed door hinges,and igniter but it did not help. Do you think temperature sensor should be changed? Could you give me the detail instruction to do that please? This oven is 18 yrs old.
Answer Hello Bob. Test the sensor 12001655. You should have 1100 ohms at room temperature and 1650 at 350°. To access and replace the sensor, you will need to un-install the oven and remove the back cover off the unit. This will also need to be done to test it. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter.
