Willb for Model Number cwg3100aae I have replaced the control panel and ignitor on my maytag wall oven. Now the oven frequently cuts off and displays error message F2 if temp setting is above 395. From my research, I believe I need to replace the temp sensor but I am unsure of its location. I will have to access the part on my oven to determine whether I need a 3 or 6 inch but your diagram does not make it clear as to exactly where it is located. Please guide me.
Answer Hello Will, The temperature sensor 12001656 is at the top rear of the bake compartment. I would ohm it out with a test meter. It should read around 1100 ohms at 70°F. If the sensor tests good, check the sensor harness. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
