Tom for Model Number h3478vrv My stove is not heating properly. I can turn it on and the display will show 200 degrees and the stove hasn't even been on 5 seconds. Other times when I turn the temperature way up, it will actually go to 500 degrees. Is this a problem with the temp probe or could it be somthing else?
Answer Hello Tom, It does sound like an issue with the oven sensor. You would want to do a resistance check on the oven sensor. The sensor should read out at 1090 ohms at 77 degree room temp. If over that then it would be a bad sensor 12001655 and need to be replaced. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
