Ellen for Model Number Whirlpool Dryer LER4634EQ2 I ordered new start switch but do not remember which wire color goes to which terminal. There is a black and a white. Is there someone who can help guide me to which wire goes to which terminal? There is a diagram on the back of switch showing a long line going up and the other side shows a very short line going under the long one. Any Help Please.
Answer Hi Ellen. The 2-terminal switch is an momentary switch. It really electrically don't matter which wire where on this type of switch. However you can be electrically correct by hooking the black wire to C- or common. The wht/- Or- wht/red wire to the L terminal. The diagram is not specific as to the exact lettering/numbering .
