Manufacturer Part Number: W10199915

This is a refrigerator drip pan kit. It is located on the bottom of the appliance and is used to help catch condensation from the appliance. Any moisture that is made while the refrigerator goes through its operation cycles will collect in the pan to prevent a mess. If the drip pan has been damaged, the most common symptom is water dripping on the floor. Checking for a clog should be done. If the actual part is damaged, it will need to be replaced. Before replacing the drip pan kit, unplug the power cord on the appliance and pull the refrigerator from the wall. Use a nut driver to release the water inlet line coupler before taking off the access panel. Reach in and bend the pan retaining tab, open the doors of the appliance, and take off the water filter cover. Remove the toe plate to access and replace the drip pan. This is a genuine OEM drip pan kit that can be used as a replacement for Dacor, Jenn Air, Hardwick, and Maytag refrigerators. It is sold as an individual component and is provided directly from the manufacturer.

Todd for Model Number EF48BDCBSS

Here we go again. Did they ever redesign this drain pan/heater kit? I am on my 4th drain pan in 10 years with this $7,000.00 Dacor refrigerator. I believe this is a poor design. I had 2 replaced under the extended warranty I purchased by the local Dacor repair rep. Funny thing is, it was leaking water just like everyone else is having issues with and he told me a heater failed and he would replace it with a new one. He returned a week or so later and started replacing it. I pulled out my Fluke 87 meter and checked the old pan to the new pan and both heaters ohmed out the same at 1.3k. I asked him what the deal was and he told me that they (Dacor) are also having him unplug a thermistor on the evaporator and I think he said it keeps the heater energized longer. He admitted that there was not a problem with the pan. I had to replace the pan he installed 2 or 3 years later in June of 2014 along with the defrost thermostat and a few weeks ago that one started leaking again. I just finished pulling it out to check and both heaters are at 1.3k just like they were new. I'm finding that the water is leaking through the pan near where the outlet tube is and I'm thinking all the other pans were doing the same. I hate to drop another few hundred bucks on a new one if they didn't change the design. Thanks, Todd
