Hanno for Model Number RJRS4870D I had the same issue as others are describing with the pan drip W10199915 and replaced it. What's happening now is that I still get ice build-up and water dripping in the back of the freezer which creates the annoying problem that it starts blocking the fan. I looked and the plastic outlet tube is installed correctly with the U-bend below and the end of the tube pointing up. It seems that there used to be water in the U-bend but it's dry now. Not sure how to fix this.
Answer Hello Hanno, the manufacturer has discontinued this ref model long ago, the drain pan kit has gone thru several revisions, the current one is the last one, when being installed care needs to be taken that the drain tube has the water trap aligned correctly, the entry point in the cabinet to the drain pan is sealed so there is no air leakage back into the freezer area. There are 2 heaters ,one under the foil pan and one on the elbow, they can be tested with a multimeter, if either shows an open circuit, order a new drain pan kit. Read More...
