Tom for Model Number med5600tq0 My maytag dryer will not start when I push the button.....I still can hear the timer but when I push the button there is only one click and nothing else....Is it the switch or is it something else? Can I test with a multimeter to confirm? thanks.....tom
Answer Hello Tom. Yes, you can test and see if the contacts close on the start switch WPW10117655 when you press it. if not, it is bad. If it test good, you will need to check the door switch WP3406107 and test the thermostats and make sure they read closed in the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3.
