Todd for Model Number MFW9700SQ1 Drum stopped turning, took apart and found metal caught up in bearings...took metal shards out and trying to figure one if I need to replace the bearings? Replace the shield? Can I leave it as is for now? Do I replace that whole bearing assembly? Couldn't find it on your site. Thank you in advance for any information.
Answer Todd, the metal in the bearings would only be due to a failure in them and it would be recommended that this is repaired as this could cause leaks or the spin basket to seize up.
