Kyle for Model Number JDB1100AWS Drain pump seems to be working as far as getting the water out, but there is recently some water left after a cycle. Is there a backflow valve that is broken and allowing what's left in the drain line to come back into the cabinet after it pumps out? I would think that if the drain pump were shot, then it wouldn't pump anything out. Don't want to replace it if I don't have to. All drain lines seem to be free of clogs.
Answer hello Kyle, first, suggest you run a dishwasher cleaner like Affresh first through the unit to eliminate any detergent/hard water build-up that can cause possible oversudsing that can lead to poor draining. Next check the drain hose is not restricted, next would be to replace the drain pump, it is part W10421247 which has with it the inlet port flapper and the outlet backflow preventer. Read More...
