Dale for Model Number Whirlpool EHT201MKNR1 If I replace my existing part 989662 with replacement part 819099, will it mount on the existing 3 pins/posts on the side of the compressor unit? I ask because on of my pins has been damaged (relay became an arc welder)
Answer Hello Dale, If the pins on the compressor have been burned, you will need to use sandpaper to clean them up. If they cannot make good contact, the relay will not get good connection and will burn up the relay. If they cannot be cleaned up good enough for proper continuity, the compressor will need to be replaced. To answer the original question, yes, the new components will have to be connected to the pins on the side of the compressor. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Friday, March 31, 2017
