Jerry P. for Model Number ET22MKXPWRO My compressor relay went bad, but my capacitor is rated at 15 and is only showing 13.5. I went to a local appliance store and they gave me a universal relay / overload. The only way it would work was removing the capacitor. When it started, the compressor got extremely hot. The blogs I read stated this univeral relay was bad about burning up the compressor. My question is,does this new relay work with out the capacitor as well? My overload is fed from the capacitor and I don't see that connection available on this new part.
Answer Hello Jerry. No, the capacitor is not used with this relay overload 819099. However, this one is designed for the compressor and should not burn it out. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Friday, May 18, 2012
