Edward B for Model Number mav6200aww Everything ok but no spin. Drum locked up tight. Removed belt pulley spins easy in both directions. Replaced thrust bearing assembly could only get thin washer with clip in place. When I spin pulley ccw there is no drag or resistance and drum does not spin. I am trying to get larger washer in place even filed down leading edge of clip an tried prying washer down to make room for clip but im bending plastic wheel when wedging. Next I will try ROUND type clip that has 2 holes to spread clip with special pliers. Even with lager washer wedged into slot for clip still no delay or drag on pulley.
Answer Edward, When you turn the thrust pulley counter clockwise the pulley should push up against the brake and release the brake. If the pulley turns and pushes up the brake but the tub does not turn then it would appear that the tub bearings may be seized and need to be replaced. Read More...
