Warren for Model Number MEDB850WQ0 Hello. We have a Maytag Bravos Dryer MEDB850WQ0 that runs extremely hot. We had a couple of power surges some time back after which the dryer started running very hot (no matter the setting) and giving us error code L2. I replaced the circuit board W10111620 and it didn't resolve the problem. Could the problem actually be in the control board W10336131 and should I replace this? Any help would be appreciated.
Answer Warren, The L2 would indicate low or no line voltage. L2 flashes if lowline voltage (less than 50V) is detected at installation. ¦ Check to see if a household fuse has blown or L2 Low/No Line a circuit breaker has tripped. Voltage ¦ Confirm the power cord is properly installed and plugged into the power outlet. ¦ Check the relay connections on the machine control electronics. If these check ok then you will want to test the cycling thermostat, and high limit thermostat to make sure that they are good. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Tuesday, April 1, 2014
