Paul for Model Number norge dep223v Recently my heating element went bad so I replaced and the thermostat. now the heat will come on for about 30 seconds and go off and stay off for about 60 seconds and dose not dry the clothes. The felt has about 6 inches missing out of it right by the heating element is this what is wrong with it?
Answer Hello Paul, The bad seal is probably 90% of the problem. The remaining issue will be in the dryer exhaust duct, (the most neglected part of a home in most cases). A full 4 inch diameter to outside is necessary for proper normal operation to occur. The missing part of the seal allows the lint, heat, and moisture to recirculate, drastically increasing dry time and wear on the appliance. Read More...
