Steve P. for Model Number pye3300ayw My felt seal fell off my drum about a week ago and now it takes twice along for my clothes to dry. Is the missing seal causing this or is there somthing else wrong like the heating element going bad?
Answer Hello Steve, Without the felt seal, the heat, lint, and moisture is all blown back into the cabinet where the unit normally draws in the intake air. This is basically recirculating the moisture and I am surprized that the unit is drying the clothes this quickly. The seal is almost as important as the duct that carries the heat, linty, and moisture outside. Needless to say, you need to replace the seal. Read More...
