Karen for Model Number majic chef 20 lb compacity it show no model number

I replace both rollers and put on a new belt I remember having to lift the flap of the seal up to access a nut on both rollers. When I reinstalled the drum, I made sure the drum was up against the rear seal just as before. the drum rotated for awhile then stopped when I took the drum off I noticed that it somehow incorporated the seal with the rollers but the seal covered the rollers to start with what is really going on now I can't figure out how the seal seats itself it can't be inside the drum but if it is on the out side how do I prevent in from not getting caught in the rollers of course I now need to to purchase a new seal and I am seriously having twisted thoughts on the damage I would like to do to this dryer as in smashing it into a 1x1 cubical. Help.!

Answer

Karen, A couple of things to remember, The felt seal is folded in half, and one half is secured to the bulkhead, and the other half presses against the rim of the tumbler to form a seal. When installed you have to check and make sure the seal is seated and folded properly in order to "clear" the rollers. Check and make sure the tumbler is not out of round, and that the roller and shafts are installed properly, the rollers and shaft, coukld allow the gap between the tumbler and bulkhead to increase, and allow small articles to get caught in the gap.
