Wallace K. for Model Number 66515891791 I am trying to replace the Felt Seal, Door Vent and the replacement seems to have a backing that looks like it should peel off to expose the adhesive. It is very difficult to peel and I don't want to ruin it by trying to peel it off if it is not supposed to peel. Do I attempt to peel off the backing. Exactly how does the Felt Seal go on? Where does the felt side go?
Answer Hello Wallace, The "seal" as they call it is actually placed in the vent area to prevent the steam that condenses from running out and down the front of the machine during the heated dry cycle. It goes inside the bottom of the vent assembly. The paper does peel off but you may have to manipulate it to get the sticky stuff to stay on the felt and not peel off with the paper. Read More...
