Jim for Model Number dwu6750aam Hello: Similar question as a prior one (your answer below): Allowing the gasket to fit into the strange groove that extends out from the right side is self-explanatory. But on the left side, when you allow the excess to "extend past the groove", do you mean just let it sit straight towards the front, or do we curve it towards the right? Did not do it yet, but if there is a lot of excess, or too much, I would imagine it would bunch it and could cause the seal to pop or the door would be hard to close. If just allowed to extend as is, just in case, how many inches, just in case we need to trim any excess., Your answer to the other questioner: Answer Hello David, The door gasket does extend down into the strange little track below the bottom of the door. The other side just lays down there and the rest of the excess gasket material is allowed to extend past the groove. The purpose of this is to prevent any sloshing of the water in the tub from jumping the front of the washtub of the dishwasher. The bottom of the door cannot be sealed since it is used as an air inlet for the dry cycle. Thanks! Jim
Answer Jim, You would just let the door gasket go straight out from the groove. It does not need to turned and should not need to be trimmed. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Monday, February 15, 2016
