Kathy L for Model Number MDE3600AYQ I have order #4242322. I have switched out each of those parts and my dryer is still not heating. I am wondering if there is a mother board in the dryer or if you can suggest anything else that could make the heat not work?
Answer Kathy, You will want to access the heater and with the power off, remove one wire from the heater assembly. From this point you will want to plug the unit back up and turn the dryer on a heated dry cycle. You will then want to test the wire that is disconnected to ground. There should be 120 vac to this wire. If there is not then trace that wire back to its source of either the timer or the motor. If there is 120 vac then test the other wire the same and if not 120 vac then trace it back. The issue will be in one of these 2 components. Read More...
