Mike for Model Number PAV2300AWW Was shaking on spin cycle, replaced snubber ring and springs twice. Cleaned bearing area on base and on ring mounting surface.. still shakes. When I push the drum assembly off center it does not return. Is this normal? It does center when spinning starts. Leveled the machine and still shakes. Removed basket and checked, just a little vibration during spin. Inspected and installed basket, shakes again, basket seemed fine no cracks or missing plastic. Can wiggle the shaft slightly and more so with the drum installed. About a tenth of an inch of movement. Back foot mechanism seems to work right. Feet drop when I lift the rear and both seem to contact the ground but fall all the way to where the base is very nearly to the floor. All the feet are missing the rubber covers. But it seems that some are not available. Any ideas?
Answer Hello Mike, the snubber is working correctly, based on the symptom and the checks you have done this may be a warped basket problem. These plastic baskets can sometimes deform over time and use causing shaking in the spin cycle, worse with a clothes load. You can check this by having the washer in spin cycle with the top up and the top outer tub cover removed, at the beginning of spin carefully watch if the basket is wobbling around inside the outer tub instead of spinning true, if you find this is the case then unfortunately the basket is no longer available from the manufacturer.
