David for Model Number MSD2572VEB00 My ice dispenser is not working. When I press the door switch, there is nothing. Everything is unlocked. When I remove the ice tray, I can function the auger by hand. What is the problem?
Answer David, if water will dispense when selected, then the auger motor WPW10317991 would need to be tested for 120VAC while the door switch is taped shut. If there is 120VAC, the auger motor would need to be replaced. If there is not 120VAC, the wiring at the hinge would need to be inspected for any damaged wires. If there is a damaged wire and it can not be repaired, the door LW10201135 would need to be replaced. Unfortunately, the door has been discontinued by the manufacturer and is no longer available.
