Tim for Model Number GD22DQXFB00 I have a Whirlpool side-by-side with water and ice in the door, which both work properly. The issue I'm having is I keep getting a build up of ice in the back of the ice tray and it grows so thick that I have to break up the ice to remove the ice tray. The icemaker still produces ice. After reading the different Q and A's I'm thinking that possibly it needs the dual solenoid replaced? Thank you, Tim.
Answer Hello Tim. If the water valve is slowly leaking and allowing water to over flow and form a ice build up in the bucket, you will need to replace the valve on the unit. You can remove the hose from the valve to see if it is leaking or not. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Monday, November 24, 2014
