Neil for Model Number ED22CQXHW02 I just received my replacement valve, WP2188542, and started following the video to install. Fairly straight forward except... The video says that the new part has push to lock fittings for the two water out lines and I should cut off the existing compression fittings so the lines work with the push to lock fitting. I did that. The part I received does not have push to lock fittings, it's set up for compression fittings, which use the compression fitting I just cut off. How screwed am I? Will it work if I simply slide the compression nuts back on the lines?
Answer Neil, All you have to do is remove the tube from the nut and install the compression nut on the tube and screw it in.If the nut is leaking or anything you can go to your local hardware store and get a 5/16" and a !/4" compression nut to replace those.
