Matt for Model Number Kenmore 106.9555752 One morning I woke up to find a huge pool of water in the kitchen. I assume it came from the fridge. From that point on, I noticed I was not getting any ice. The ice maker cycles through, and I thawed the fill tube right above the ice maker, but still no water makes it to the ice maker. Does this sound like a valve issue or something else? What explains the pool of water?
Answer Hi Matt. Did you find the water-line from the water valve to the fill tube off when you cleaned the frozen fill tube? If the fill tube is frozen it is because the low pressure keeping the water dribbling up into it from the partially open water valve part # WP2188542. Make sure the supply water line is not kinked when pushing the unit back into place. Most of the time it is just the failed water valve not mechanically closing internally. The pool of water is from the water line delivering the water as commanded by the ice maker needing refilled after ice ejection. See if there is a small pin hole in the plastic water valve body. This can be hard. Look under the freezer door and see if water line coupling has broken. Make sure the drain extension hose has not fallen off the freezer drain tube. See if any inner cabinet bottom has not filled and is leaking water under the door gasket. Thank You. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Thursday, June 28, 2012
