Marty for Model Number GS5SHAXSL01 Hello - my wife accidentally broke the Dispenser Lever Retainer on our Whirlpool fridge while attempting to clean the paddles. The right tine (facing) was snapped off. I've ordered a replacement, but am curious -- would this result in a lower water flow through the dispenser tube? Thank you.
Answer Marty, no we wouldn't expect a broken lever retainer to affect the water flow from the dispenser. You would want to check to see if the lever or bracket has shifted and "pinched" the water tube, check and make sure the water tube isn't partially blocked with ice because the ice chute flapper isn't sealing properly.
