Will for Model Number MEC7430BS00 This is not really a question, but rather a comment to help others. After replacing my infinite switch with the part from Appliance Parts Pro it worked perfectly, so thank you for providing your service. I disassembled the original switch and the reason the light was staying on was because the metal switch connected to a piece of plastic that lifts up to make the closed electrical connection when the knob is turned on was fused in the "on" or closed position. Apparently the reason we are all having this problem is that when you see and hear the electrical arc, it is fusing the switch in the closed position. Taking a small screwdriver I was able to pop it back open again though I will not reuse it as I don't know if the arcing will keep happening so better to buy a new switch. I'm just disappointed these Whirlpool switches keep fusing. This is my second one to do it and same issue each time. At a minimum, if you remove the switch and carefully open it up you can quickly see if yours is fused and buy a replacement here.
