Ricky Pearson for Model Number medc300xw1 Have two new Maytag dryers. Both were hooked up with hot to ground. When I purchased them I wired them back right. When pushing start button it runs and will heat as long as you hold knob down. I have replaced timer and motor. Replaced the electronic board. Everything ohms out and I have no wires shorted. It still does the same thing. When I push start button. I had a tech check it and could find nothing wrong.
Answer Ricky, The start switch has a coil in it and is most likely the cause for the issue that you having. You can check from Light blue to Pink/black on the start switch to see if the coil is burnt out. The part number for the switch is WPW10117655. If this is not the issue then you will need to trace the neutral back to see where you are losing it. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Tuesday, March 11, 2014
