Jeff for Model Number EED4400WQ0 Hi, I have an Estate Whirlpool Dryer Model - EED4400WQ0, Type - DWJR-ELE-2406026-FM54 that will not start. Outlet has 240V power, the thermal fuse is ok, the door switch is ok (both have continuity), and the timer does make a clicking sound when you turn it to the timed mode - thus indicating it is working? What other fuses should I check and where are they? What other items could need replacing? Thanks, Jeff
Answer Jeff, The thermal fuse on the blower housing is what you want to check to see if it has continuity. If not then it will need to be replaced. The other thing that you will want to check is to see if there is power getting to the motor when start is pushed. If there is power to the motor then the motor would need to be replace and if not then it most likely will be a bad timer if the door switch is ok. Read More...
