Dave for Model Number MTW5740TQ0 Maytag Performa series washer...purchased around 2008. The tempreture selection is not working properly (sometimes). Turn it to "cool" and it comes out hot, turn it to cold and it comes out hot, turn it to hot and it comes out cold or cool. This seems to happen more frequently. What do I need to do??
Answer Dave, You most likely have an issue in the PC board, in the water temperature switch WP8578335, But you do want to check the wiring from the temperature switch, to the fill valve, and make sure there areno loose connections or corrosion on the terminals.
