Richard for Model Number mtw5740tqo My washing machine hot/cold 4 position switch doesn't act right and it's got to where it doesn't put water in the machine on rinse. Is it the 4 position switch?
Answer Hello Richard, The first thing you need to do is turn the water to the machine off and remove the cold water hose from the unit. Check the screen for debris and mineral deposits. If it is clogged, clearing the screen will restore normal operation. The water inlet valve is the most obvious cause of filling issues since it has an ATC (automatic temperature control) sensor.
