Emilia for Model Number wtw5200vqz My whirlpool washer stops towards the middle-end of the rinse cycle. It is full of water (will not drain) or advance to the spin cycle even if I manually change it. Is this the lid switch?
Answer Emilia, Yes, it could be the lid switch WP8318084 at fault. The lid switch has to produce a "closed" circuit to the timer in order to reverse the motor direction and drain and spin the basket.
