Frank for Model Number WJRR4170G2WW I have a GE washer that will drain the tub on alternating washes. The 1st load will be okay but on the following load I have to wring out the clothes as they are saturated with water. I checked the lines for obstructions and found none. When the water is being pumped out of the tub there is a strong flow of water, but unfortunately I don't check the 2nd load, assuming it will be okay. Also do you need a special tool to remove the belt as I am planning to replace the current 1 in the next few days. Thank-You
Answer Frank, The issue may not be a clogged drain or drain pump. The issue could be the unit getting off balance on certain loads or something causing the tub to not spin at full speed. If the unit does not spin at full speed then the clothes will be very wet when they come out. You will want to check the motor to make sure that there are no error codes flashing on the inverter of the motor. The tech sheet will have information about the error codes if there are any. Also check the suspension rods to make sure that they are good and properly positioned. For the belt there are no special tools required to replace it. Read More...
