Jesse for Model Number TAWX700PQ0 The unit filled then the lid swith got jammed up, the lid would not close only with the forse of gravity then it snapped and the lid slamed shut now the switch is broken and i can not get the unit to drain. I bought the Unit second hand and the top of the cabinet dose not have the usual hinge and cilps, it is screwed shut, so I dont know how to acess the switch to change it without draining the water???
Answer Jesse, the lid switch WP8318084 and wiring harness is located inside the control panel/console on the left side arae. You'll need to remove power to the washer, slide the washer out slightly so you can access the rear portion of the control console end caps and remove the phillips head screw (one screw per side). Slide the control panel assembly forward, slightly, this will release the mounting tabs, then flip the assembly up on its hinges. Read More...
