Tony for Model Number Whirlpool LEC7848DZ0 Hi folks, I got my thermal dryer cutoff kit and everything seems to be in order, but I can't figure out which direction to install the hi-limit thermostat. The video associated with the hi-limit thermostat actually looks like the dryer cycling thermostat, a different part. My hi-limit thermostat will install one way or install rotated 180 degrees, and I don't want to hook up the wrong wire to the wrong terminal. My hi-limit thermostat has no markings on the terminals which is positive or negative...does that mean it doesn't matter which terminals the wires connect to? Please help, and thanks!
Answer Tony, This hi limit switch is a singlepole single throw switch, Power goes in and goes out, as long as the thermostat is "closed" the wiring wont matter. You just need to install it so the terminals are as close to the wiring harness connections as possible. you don't want the wires stretched or too taught. Read More...
