George Kenmore dryer heats up runs for 15 minutes then heat shuts down. Dryer still running. I usually have to wait a few minutes then restart the dryer and heat comes on, but shuts down again.
Answer Hello George. If the unit is shutting down, and you have to wait to start it, then the motor is bad and will need to be replaced. If only the heater shuts off, but everything else will run for the rest of the cycle, you will need to check the vent and the blower wheel and see if something is clogged. Hope this helps.
