John for Model Number whirlpool My whirlpool dryer has quit working. Tested all switches and found start button switch was bad. I replaced it and it still wont run. I then tore the whole thing apart and found that the wires running to the door switch had come out of the bracket and rubbed against the drum. There were arc marks all across the drum and also on the inside of the drum. Switch tested out good. I am wondering if the whole thing didnt get fried. Can anybody help?
Answer John, We would need to have the model number to properly assist but it sounds like you may have a blown thermal fuse which is located on the blower housing. This would be the most likely cause for the unit to not work. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Monday, January 19, 2015
