Bucky for Model Number GEW9250PW1 My dryer is running very hot....even on low heat. The clothes are too hot to handle when they come out (though not completely dry). I made sure the exhaust duct was clear the replaced the thermistor and the thermal cutoff kit which I ordered from you guys. The dryer is still overheating. Do you have any ideas where I need to look next? Sidebar, is a cycling thermostat the same as a thermal limit switch?
Answer Bucky, Even though you checked the vent make sure that it is definitely clear from the blower wheel to the outside of the home. The cycling thermostat is not the same as a thermal limit switch. The cycling thermostat will cycle the heating element based off the exhaust temperature coming from the unit.
