Eric, Thank you for your question. For the issue of the unit making too much ice, this would be a thermistor issue. The icemaker not making ice at all would most likely be something different. You will want to check to make sure that there is water to the reservoir. If there is water to the reservoir, is the pump putting water across the evaporator plate. If there is water across the plate, does it form ice but not go through the cutter. These are all things that would need to be checked.
